BIG NEWS!

I was hoping to have a chance to post this yesterday that way, in honor of April Fools’ Day, I would post some faux big news like how I won the lottery or how, even though everyone thinks I’m single, I’ve secretly been dating Prince Harry 😉 …but alas since it is no longer April Fools’ Day, I’ll cut to the chase and the real big news – I LANDED MY DREAM JOB!!! (And I’m officially moving permanently to Florida!)

Thanks to an increasing client load at Phelps, a position became available toward the end of season, and I was chosen from among the interns to fill the spot!

I knew coming to Florida as seasonal staff/an intern for Phelps Media Group would be a step in the right direction to working in the equestrian public relations field full-time, but I never got my hopes up or thought that it would be a direct step! I’d just assumed that I would return home after the end of the winter show circuit and keep in touch if anything opened up down the road. But now I’m sticking around!! 🙂

I know I’m going to miss everyone at home so, so much – my friends, my parents, my sisters, my “little sister” Betsy, my Affinity Connection coworkers, and everyone else. (I already do!) But I’m also unbelievably excited to start this new journey, meet new people and see what God has in store! 😀

We celebrated here with champagne…but not that much!! 😀

I already know this next month is going to be a great one! I’m a week in to my two-week Tampa stay now, then it’s back to Wellington for a bit before I’m off to the Bahamas and then on to Lexington, Kentucky for the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows! More detailed updates are sure to come soon, but for now it’s off to do some press release and article writing! xoxo
