These Boots are Made for…Hiking?

Back at the start of the summer, I made Justin make a list with me of all the things we wanted to do together throughout the summer (because #LoveLists #ListAllTheThings), and going for a long hike was one of the things near the top! Unfortunately, with my travel schedule and just the busyness of life, that one hadn’t happened yet, so on Sunday, Justin made sure that we’d cleared our schedules, and we went to Ricketts Glen!

The hiking is gorgeous!!! There are 22 waterfalls throughout the State Park, but Pennsylvania friends, word to the wise: go before November if you want to see them all, as we learned that they close off a lot of the trails to anyone but experienced ice climbers!

This picture does not do justice to the drop-off level…

The only minor bummer was that I forgot my favorite hiking boots!! Okay, admittedly not really that big of a deal, but I just love these boots and any excuse that I can find to wear them!

Since I’m trying to ‘be a blogger’ now, and I’ve gathered that bloggers share things that they like, I felt inclined to share two of my favorite hiking-esque boots! The first is the aforementioned forgotten pair – the Ugg Adirondack II Lace-Up Shearling-Lined Leather Boots. I’ve worn them for hiking; I’ve worn them in the snow; I’ve worn them in the house when my feet are cold, and I feel like marching around like an idiot. Seriously, I can’t recommend them enough! (Also, since I’m new at this blogging thing, ain’t nobody gonna pay me to tell you these things!! So you know they’re legit opinions! 😉 )

My other current favorite pair of hiking-esque boots are these Marley Lilly Monogrammed Duck Boots!

I wanted to take a picture of just the boots…but then I went to Target for dog food…and left with this hat and leg warmers set for Pumba…so instead, I leave you with this!:
