Here Comes the Sun…

…or rather, I’m coming to the sun! In a somewhat sudden turn of events, I’m relocating from my current home in State College, PA to sunny Wellington, FL!

I went to school for public relations and equine science, because my dream has always been to work in the niche market of equestrian public relations. So when I heard that a leading company in equestrian public relations, Phelps Media Group, had an internship opening for the duration of the Winter Equestrian Festival I jumped at the opportunity to apply.

When I found out I’d gotten the position just a few weeks ago, I was ecstatic!! But I already work full-time at a company that I love. Leaving that for an internship seemed like a huge risk. Fortunately, I have an amazing boss who sees the importance of taking risks and reaching for your dreams, and, because of that, he’s letting me head off to chase that dream and come back to work full-time when I’m done. The company is even allowing me to stay on part-time while I’m away to make extra money and to stay on track with my current clients. I can’t beat that!

So now in just 16 days, I’m packing up my car and heading off on my next adventure with my riding boots and running shoes in tow!
