New Year, New Goals, New Adventures!

Brendan, Missy, Erin and I at Bounce Sporting Club in NYC

If the start of 2013 is any indication of how the rest of the year will be, it’s going to be FANTASTIC!! I had a blast ringing in the new year in New York City with three of my best friends!

I came up with five resolutions that I’m confident will help assure that 2013 continues to be as great as it started! They are…drumroll

1) Eat clean (with one cheat a week 😉 ). I’ll plan to do an in-depth post on this in the near future; For the time being though, the bottom line is avoiding processed foods and instead turning more to healthy foods in their natural state. This includes lots of fruits and veggies, lean proteins and whole grains.

2) Spend time in God’s word daily.

3) Run at least 4 days a week, adhering strictly to my training schedule. This one, I’m embarrassed to admit, I’ve been slacking on prior to the start of the new year. :/ I frequently skipped days, ran shorter runs on different days, etc. I was all over the place, and definitely not on track with where I needed to be. Now I’m only 16 weeks away from my half-marathon so I really need to get cracking!

4) Blog at least twice a week.

5) Stick to my set budget and avoid spending more than I can afford.  I love using Mint.com for this one!    With the new year and these new resolutions also come new adventures! Tomorrow I get on the road and set off for my 16-hour drive to Wellington, FL. While I’m not particularly looking forward to the drive, I’m definitely looking forward to Florida! 🙂
