New Blog, Who Dis?

For approximately the last decade, I’ve loved the idea of blogging. I love writing, and I love that a blog can serve almost like an online scrapbook or journal that’s kind of fun (or embarrassing) to look back on! I stuck my first post up on this blog site five years ago, and ever since then, it’s just kind of been a place where I sporadically post random things when I feel so inclined.

At the same time however, I’ve always loved the idea of trying to make it a more consistent outlet where I post regularly and actually try to come up with some fun, different content from my life.

I also believe that “anything worth doing is worth doing well,” and I love the Bible verse, Colossians 3:23, that says “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart…”  And okay, you cannot tell me that me coming on here once a month and saying “here are 20 pictures that I’m dumping from my iPhone camera roll” is doing the blogging thing well or with much heart…so I’ve decided that it’s time to quit mucking around and change that! 🙂 I’m looking forward to now sharing more consistent, higher quality, and slightly different content!

As I do that, you’ll notice a few things changing: a lot of forthcoming website design improvements and, perhaps most notably, the changing of the blog name from “Eat Pray Ride Run” to simply “Emily Riden.” My family has informed me that they really don’t like the blog name “Eat Pray Ride Run” (side note: fam, my first blog post was in 2012…WHY ARE YOU ONLY TELLING ME THIS IN 2017!? 😉 ), and going forward, I love the idea of branding myself with just my name. So in the next few days, this URL will be changing to EmilyRiden.com, as will the Facebook page name! Be sure to like the page for upcoming updates! 🙂

Breakfast in bed at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto. (Why can’t all horse show mornings look like this!? 🙂 )

This week, I’m in Toronto, ON, for the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, (where I’m currently enjoying a bit of a lower key morning)! I’m looking forward to sharing more from Toronto and from life in general in the weeks ahead! Thanks for reading, and stay tuned! 🙂
